Free Saturdays: What’s the Catch?
Spoiler: There isn’t one.
We are not quiet about the fact that we have two free classes open to the public every Saturday. Occasionally a Saturday is taken up by a community event or a seminar, but there are roughly 50 free Saturdays available to you every year.
There is no experience needed, no level of fitness required. You don’t need to be a member, just 16 or older and looking for a fun workout. We don’t even collect payment information to reserve your space. You just show up.
So, what’s the catch?
We get asked that a lot. People just don’t believe we would offer something for free with no strings attached. We get it, we’d be skeptical too. But it’s true. Truthfully, we do it for a few reasons, though. It is not an accidental offering. We want you to show up over and over again.
Our Mission
Fitness should be accessible, affordable, and fun.
Our biggest goal is, and always will be, to promote a healthy lifestyle. Period. We could stop the blog now. It is fundamentally important to who we are as people, and a business, to help as many humans get and stay physically fit as we possibly can. It is our absolute calling.
In our previous lives as a teacher and a restaurant manager, we have seen the health crisis from unique angles. A lack of education and access to resources has only hindered our ability to find and choose healthy food and hygiene options as a society.
A focus on profits has made many of these options out of reach for a large number of Americans. If we can alleviate that burden, even for one hour a week, in a way that will encourage you to spend that time on your health, it is a no-brainer for us. Thus, Free Saturdays were born.
The Magic of Movement
Community, connection, and accomplishment in under 60 minutes.
We also know that if you come in and actually enjoy a fun hour of movement you are more likely to come back. Having someone sweating and struggling next to you is oddly comforting.
Support for one another and the occasional healthy competition between your gym buddy happens organically. It feels like magic.
We live for that magic. In under 60 minutes you’ll accomplish things you never knew you could do. Things you would never have attempted on your own. Things that will make you feel proud and accomplished.
The looks on the faces that we see on Saturday mornings are worth way more than a $20 drop in fee ever could be. For you, the added benefit is a dedication to your safety.
Safety First
Guided workouts with expert coaching.
With a coach guiding you through the daily workout, our focus is on technique, form, and safety above all else.
We make sure to take each movement step by step, and allow you to progress through the steps safely. We won’t let you camp out on the easiest version. Instead, we’ll help you find the hardest and safest variation for your workout.
In any given workout one movement will have more than three variations in use. We love that, that’s what it is all about.
Beyond the Gym
Confidence inside the gym sparks change outside it.
Even better, the more accomplished you feel in the gym, the more likely you are to try new things outside of the gym.
You will be more apt to join that charity Fun Run when your friends ask, or go for a walk in the park for your morning coffee date, or take those golf lessons you’ve been thinking about.
Small changes in habits and behaviors lead to more small changes. Before you know it, a whole bunch of small changes have added up to lifestyle shifts.
Soon you will be the one suggesting the Fun Run or walk in the park. Maybe, just maybe, you’ll decide to come back through our doors on a day that isn’t a Saturday. Even if not, we’re good with it.
What’s in It for Us?
The ripple effect of a healthier community.
So what’s in it for us? Besides fulfilling our calling? I mean, that’s a big one. But selfishly, we are banking on the ripple effect.
We are pretty sure you’re going to drag a friend with you to your first free Saturday. Great! When you agree to that Fun Run, you may tell your friend, “only if you come to Saturday class with me.”
Maybe at your golf lesson you mention to someone how crazy the gym in Davidson is for giving away free classes every week. Somewhere along the way, someone will pick up one of those crumbs and we will get to help someone else. That’s all part of the magic.

Classes are every Saturday at 8am and 9am. Our experienced coaches will help keep you safe and challenged all while you have fun and get fit at the same time.
Truly there is nothing to lose and so much to gain.
Come by 10 minutes early to your first class to sign a waiver and get familiar with the space. That’s it. We’re excited to meet you.
